Nepal’s First Parliament Election was held in Nepal (Feb - Apr, 1959) to elect the 109 members of the first House of Representatives, the lower house of the Parliament of Nepal. Tulsilal Amatya was one of the four members to be elected to the parliament representing the Communist Party of Nepal.
In this episode, he describes the political situation in Nepal around this time, the conflict among different political forces, the problems of democratic elections, the role of money in elections and the role played by the Communist Party in the parliament.
