In this episode, Tulsi Lal Amatya analyzes the situation in the world socialist movement, and describes what caused the downfall of socialist systems.
He makes a very bold statement: “The Party is for The Country & The People, The Country & The People are Not for The Party”
When the leaders forget about this fact, they have lost touch with the people. They have forgotten the cause of the people. The self-interest, the big-party syndrome, nepotism, corruption, laziness - the things socialist party fought against, have overtaken the socialist parties. Such systems are surely to fall. The name “socialist” or “communist” will not save them. But a socialist system that champions the cause of ordinary people will surely prevail.
